Blum 3.6.0: New Mega Menu, RTL Support & Refined Motion Design

Written by eComX support

A bunch of new exciting update - a new mega menu, product siblings, right-to-left language support - toward the smaller motion and interaction details that make a fashion storefront feel finished: preloaders, hover animations, and smoother input states. Together, these updates give you a storefront that both navigates and feels better, without asking you to touch a single line of code.

Highlight Features

A New Mega Menu for Effortless Navigation

A full apparel catalog only works if shoppers can find their way through it. The new mega menu gives you a more visual, more organized way to surface categories, collections, and featured items right from the main navigation, so shoppers can browse with intent instead of getting lost.

Product Siblings for Smarter Product Discovery

The product siblings feature lets you group and surface closely related products together - for example, color or style variations listed as separate products - so a shopper looking at one item can discover its siblings without leaving the page or starting a new search.

A New Sticky Popup Section to Capture Attention

We design a new sticky popup section, giving you another on-brand way to surface a promotion, announcement, or offer without disrupting the shopping experience already in progress.

Right-to-Left Language Support

Blum now supports right-to-left (RTL) languages, so merchants selling into Arabic, Hebrew, and other RTL markets can offer a fully localized storefront that reads and flows naturally for those shoppers.

How to enable right-to-left language support in Blum theme:

  • Step 1: In the theme editor, go to the Theme settings > Appearance > Languages

  • Step 2: Toggle on "Enable RTL" option

  • Step 3: Enter ISO language code in Language support RTL box

  • Step 4: Save the editor

A Branded Wait, Not a Blank One: New Image Preloader

Fashion shopping is visual first, so the gap between a click and an image appearing is a moment your brand can either waste or use. Blum adds a new image loader animation that fills that gap, keeping collection grids, lookbooks, and product pages feeling considered instead of unfinished while images load in.

More Fluid, More Tactile Interactions Throughout

Two interaction points got a motion upgrade. Input fields - think search, newsletter sign-up, and account forms - now animate more smoothly as customers type, making the whole storefront feel more polished and less static. And hovering over a product card image now triggers an improved, more interactive animation, giving product browsing a bit more life and encouraging shoppers to linger and explore.

Notable Additions and Improvements

  • Search bar: a dedicated search bar section has been added, giving shoppers a clearer, more prominent way to find products without hunting through the menu.

  • Quickshop: the Quickshop modal has been upgraded for better usability, making it faster for shoppers to preview and add products without leaving the page they're on.

  • Product description under horizontal tabs: a cleaner, more organized way to present product details, letting shoppers scan the information that matters to them.

  • More customization for product price display: greater control over how pricing appears, so it stays consistent with your brand's presentation.

  • Video block for the slideshow section, letting your homepage or landing pages lead with motion instead of only static imagery.

  • Product description displayed as an accordion on the product page, a cleaner, more space-efficient way to present detail without overwhelming the page.
