Normcore 2.2.0: Infinite Scroll for Effortless Browsing & Full RTL Language Support

Written by eComX support

Normcore 2.2.0 is built around one idea: make it easier to move through a massive catalog, and easier to sell into more markets while doing it. This release introduces infinite scroll for collection pages and full right-to-left (RTL) language support, alongside a new AI-ready Custom Section, on-cart discount code visibility, and a set of performance and stability fixes that keep large storefronts running smoothly.

Highlight Features

Keep Shoppers Moving Through Your Entire Catalog with Infinite Scroll

Pagination breaks momentum. Every click to “page 2” is a chance for a shopper to lose interest, especially in a store with thousands of SKUs. Infinite scroll removes that friction: shoppers keep browsing in one continuous flow instead of hunting for a “next” button. It's now available as an optional load method for the product grid on collection pages, so you can turn it on for the collections where it matters most without changing anything else about how you merchandise them.

Reach Right-to-Left Markets with Full RTL Support

Expanding into Arabic, Hebrew, or other right-to-left markets used to mean fighting your theme's layout at every turn. Normcore 2.2.0 adds native RTL support, automatically mirroring navigation, product grids, and every other layout element so your storefront reads correctly for shoppers in those markets - no custom CSS workarounds required. For a catalog-scale store eyeing new regions, that's one less barrier standing between you and a new market.

You can enable this feature by going to the Theme settings > Store design > Languages > Toggle on "Enable RTL"

New Custom Section Supporting AI-generated Blocks

A new Custom Section gives you more room to build out landing pages and collection stories without waiting on a developer, and it now supports Shopify's AI-generated blocks, so you can populate new layouts faster when you're managing dozens of pages across a large catalog.

Notable Additions and Improvement

  • Discount code shown on cart: Applied discount codes now display directly on the cart page. Shoppers no longer have to guess whether a promo went through, which means fewer support tickets and less second-guessing right before checkout - exactly the kind of friction that costs conversions at volume.

  • Preload page links on hover: Pages now start preloading the moment a shopper hovers over a link, so navigating from collection to product to cart feels instant — even across a store with a deep, sprawling catalog.

  • Improved conditional visibility in theme settings: Conditional visibility controls are more reliable, giving you finer merchandising control over when sections and blocks show up - useful for running promotions or region-specific merchandising across a large catalog without extra manual upkeep.

  • Better support for products with many variants: Product pages now handle high variant counts more gracefully, which matters most for stores selling in many colors, sizes, or configurations at once.

Bug Fixes & Under-the-Hood

  • Fixed the Group Setting “Size – Height” option not applying correctly

  • Fixed Image Block background images not displaying on mobile

  • Fixed header height calculation for sticky headers, preventing layout issues on page load
