Blum Running Text

Theme: Blum · Section type: All-template section

The Running content section shows a strip of short text and icons that scrolls across the screen without stopping. Use it to highlight a promotion, free shipping, a new collection, or your brand values.

Note: In the theme editor, this section is called Running content. You can add it to any template, but not to the header or footer.

What customers see

  • Running strip: the messages repeat to fill the full width of the screen and scroll without stopping.
  • Hover: on a computer, the strip pauses while the pointer is over it, and starts again when the pointer moves away.
  • Links: a message with a link opens the page in a new browser tab.
  • Reduced motion: if a customer has turned on reduced motion in their device settings, the strip stays still.
  • Mobile: the strip works the same way. The text size scales down with the screen.

Troubleshooting

The section doesn't show on my store.
The section needs at least one Content block. Add a block with text or an icon.

My icon doesn't show.
Check that Enable icon is checked in the block. If you use Image or SVG, check that you selected an image or pasted the SVG code.

The strip doesn't move.
The strip stays still for customers who turned on reduced motion on their device. It also pauses while the pointer is over it.

The strip is too big on mobile.
Select a smaller Item size, for example Small or Medium.
