Blum Templates

Theme: Blum · Section type: Overview

A template is the layout of one type of page, for example all product pages or all collection pages. Blum has a default template for each page type, and you can create extra templates to give some products, collections, or pages a different layout.

Note: A new template shows on the store only after you assign it to a product, collection, page, blog, or blog post in your Shopify admin. The theme must be published for its templates to appear in the admin.

Changes to a default template show on every item that doesn't have another template.

Create a new template

  1. In the theme editor, open the page selector at the top.
  2. Select a page type, for example Pages, then click Create template.

Troubleshooting

My new template doesn't appear in the Theme template list.
Templates appear in the admin only for the published theme. Publish the theme, or check the template list again after you publish.

I changed a template, but one product still looks the same.
That product uses another template. Open it in your Shopify admin and check Theme template.

I edited the quick-view template and Quick shop changed.
The quick-view product template controls the Quick shop popup. Edit it only to change the popup.
