Shine Related Products
Theme: Shine · Section type: Product page section
The Related products section shows products similar to the one a customer is viewing. Shopify picks the products automatically, so customers can keep browsing and find alternatives without going back to a collection.
Note: Related products is part of the product template. You can hide it, but you can't add it from Add section. Shopify needs some store data before it can recommend products, so a new store may show few or no products at first.

Set up the section
- In the theme editor, open a product template, for example Default product.
- In the left sidebar, click Related products.
- Under General, enter a Heading and set Maximum items to show.
- Click Save.
Tip: To control which products appear, use the Shopify Search & Discovery app. There you can add related products manually for each product.
Let customers add products from the cards
- Click Related products.
- Under Product card, choose a Quick shop action: Quick add, Quick view, Both, or Not use.
- If you chose Quick add or Both, choose a Quick buy mode:
- Standard (variant picker) opens a small window where customers pick a variant and add it to the cart.
- Bulk order (all variants) opens a table where customers enter a quantity for each variant at once.
- Click Save.
Note: You change how the quick shop window looks in Theme settings > Quick shop, and how the quick buy button shows on cards in Theme settings > Product card > Quick buy display.
Choose the layout on large screens and phones
- Click Related products.
- Under Large screen, choose a Section heading position, a List style (Grid or Carousel), and the Columns per row.
- Under Mobile screen, choose the same settings for phones.
- Click Save.
Tip: With the Grid style, set Maximum items to show to a multiple of Columns per row so the last row is full.
What customers see
- Loading: the products load when customers scroll down to the section.
- Product cards: each card shows the product image, title, and price, plus the vendor and variant swatches if you turned them on. The card style follows Theme settings > Product card.
- Carousel: customers swipe or use the arrows to see more products.
- Quick add: customers click the add button on a card to pick a variant and add the product to the cart without leaving the page. Quick view opens the product details in a window.

Setting | What it does |

Product card

Troubleshooting
The section shows only the heading, with no products.
Shopify has no recommendations for this product yet. Add related products for it in the Search & Discovery app, or wait until your store has more sales data.
The Quick buy mode setting is missing.
Quick buy mode appears only when Quick shop action is Quick add or Both.
The last row of the grid isn't full.
Set Maximum items to show to a multiple of Columns per row, or switch List style to Carousel.
I want to choose exactly which products to show.
Related products always uses Shopify's recommendations. To show products you pick, add a section such as Featured collection to the product template.
