# Shine Collection List Page

**Theme:** Shine · **Section type:** Collection list page section

The Collection list page section shows all your collections as cards on your store's collections page (/collections). Use it to give customers one page where they can browse every collection.

> **Note:** This section is part of the collection list template (list-collections), which is the page at /collections. It isn't on the collection template. You can't add it with **Add section**, but you can hide it.

**What you can do**
- Set up the heading and how collections load
- Choose the layout on large screens and phones
- Change how the collection cards look
- See what customers see
- Look up every setting in "Settings reference"
- Fix common problems

---

## Set up the heading and how collections load
1. In the theme editor, open the collection list template (**Collections list**).
2. In the left sidebar, click **Collection list page**.
3. Under **General**, enter a **Section heading**. Leave it empty to hide the heading.
4. Choose **Items per load**: 20, 30, 40, or 50 collections.
5. Choose a **Load collections method**:
   - **Pagination** shows page numbers below the collections.
   - **Button** shows a load more button that adds the next collections.
   - **Infinity scroll** loads the next collections when customers scroll to the end.
6. Click **Save**.

> **Tip:** To highlight part of the heading, put it between \[ and ], for example "Shop by \[collection]". You choose the highlight style in **Theme settings** > **Typography**.

## Choose the layout on large screens and phones
1. Click **Collection list page**.
2. Under **Large screen**, choose the **Section heading alignment** (Left or Center) and the **Default columns per row** (3, 4, 5, or 6).
3. Under **Mobile screen**, choose the **Section heading alignment** and the **Default columns per row** (1 or 2).
4. Click **Save**.

## Change how the collection cards look
Each card shows the collection image and title. The card style comes from the theme settings, so it's the same everywhere collection cards appear.

1. In the theme editor, click **Theme settings** > **Collection card**.
2. Choose an **Image ratio** and the other card options.
3. Click **Save**.

To change a card's image or title, edit the collection in **Products** > **Collections** in the Shopify admin.

## What customers see
- **Collections page:** the heading, then a grid with a card for every collection in your store. Customers click a card to open the collection.
- **More collections:** if you have more collections than **Items per load**, customers see page numbers, a load more button, or more cards as they scroll, depending on **Load collections method**.
- **Phones:** the grid uses the **Mobile screen** columns and heading alignment.

## Troubleshooting
**I can't find the Collection list page section on my collection page.**
The section is on the collection list template (/collections), not on the collection template. In the theme editor, open **Collections list** from the template menu.

**A collection is missing from the page.**
The page shows the collections that are available on your online store. Check that the collection is published to the **Online Store** sales channel in **Products** > **Collections**.

**The collection cards are cropped.**
The card image ratio comes from **Theme settings** > **Collection card** > **Image ratio**. Choose a ratio that fits your collection images.
